I cannot wait to learn all about you, but first, let me tell you a little bit about myself!
I was born and raised mainly in the Washington, DC area. I am the youngest of three children in my family. I have one older brother and one older sister. Growing up, when I was not in school, I spent most of my time being outdoors and playing sports. My favorite sports were soccer and swimming, but I also loved to hike and kayak. I always enjoyed going to school, and my favorite subject was always math! I went to college at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana where I majored in engineering. I also met my future husband, James, at Notre Dame and we moved out to Colorado right after graduation. I was a middle school math teacher in Colorado for 8 years. Although I loved my job, I stopped teaching when I had my twin daughters, Mia and Emma. Two years later, my youngest daughter Lily was born. Lily will be in 6th grade at Skinner this year, and Mia and Emma will be in 8th grade at Skinner! Outside of school, I enjoy traveling all over the world, skiing, yoga, baking and Notre Dame football! I am so excited to be teaching at Edison this year! I look forward to getting to know all of you and your families, and I am eager for our adventures through 3rd grade together! |
